Accessories are the fix to any fashion deficiency. An outfit without accessories is like windows without curtains. You ever walk into a room with great décor, and there are no window treatments, although you don’t necessarily need them, you still can’t help but notice that there missing. Makes the room look unfinished. No matter how well put together the room is, your eyes will always be drawn to the attention of the naked windows.

I definitely have a “HOOP Fetish” , I love to wear and make Hoop earrings. Hoops are timeless and classic, you never have to worry about them going out of style. Hoops are always the safest choice. Oversized, Big, Small, Oval, Dangling, it doesn’t matter. Hoops simply trendify any look.

Big and Oversized Accessories are in for 2010, however; don’t over do it. If you decide to wear the huge 5-Row pearl drop layer necklace, don’t wear the matching earrings, too overdone, tone it down with a simple dangle or stud. One will take away from the other and you won’t be able to appreciate the look. You can however do this necklace with some matching arm décor (bracelets). Bracelets seem to always be that forgiving piece of accessory. So if you decide to do it chunky, remember not to throw your equilibrium off with way too much.

Earrings play a big role as far as jewelry is concerned. It is not true that all face types can carry off all different types of earrings. A pair of earrings can either underline or underplay certain facial features. If you feel that your facial structure is not a flattering one, the key is not to wear earrings that will accentuate it. For example, round earrings will emphasize a round face, making it appear more plumb. Long earrings will accentuate a long face, making it appear more elongated. Here is some advice on what earrings are more suitable for which facial structures:

Facial Type:
Round: Long, Dangling, for example chandeliers, Curved, Rectangular and Angular shapes are the best.

Long: Round, such as HOOPS, Chandeliers, and any pair of earrings that offer size in width rather than in length, it will give the illusion of your face appearing less elongated.

Oval: Most any type of earrings, but try to avoid extremely long pairs.

Square: Drops, Dangling Curved, and Cascading.

Diamond: Square or Rectangular shapes work well.
